Modification of sentences on com- passionate grounds-The convict petitioner has already paid the fine imposed upon him and he has served the sentence for some period we take a lenient/ compassionate view and accordingly, dispose of criminal petition upon modifying the sentence of 3 years passed by the High Court Division, to sentence already undergone. Since we have already commuted the sentence already undergone the convict petitioner be released from the jail custody if not wanted in connection with any other cases.
