The moot question before us is whether the petitioners who are existing Lectur- ers/Teachers of the newly created Uni- versity and who were appointed by the Government and deputed to the Gov- ernment Jagannath College could claim to be entitled to automatic absorption as Lecturers/Teachers in the newly created Jagannath University. Upon scrutiny of the জগন্নাথ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় আইন, ২০০৫ (the Act of 2005), it appears that the statute has categorically dealt with the conse- quences of the Government Jagannath College being converted to the Jagan- nath University. Section 56(2)(L)-(Q) deals with the assets and liabilities of the erstwhile Government Jagannath College which is not relevant for our purposes. With regard to the Principal, Vice-Principal, Lecturers, Teachers, Of- ficers and Workers etc. of the College, section 56(2)(chha) provides as follows: "বিলুপ্ত কলেজের অধ্যক্ষ ও উপাধ্যক্ষসহ অন্যান্য শিক্ষক, কর্মকর্তা ও কর্মচারীর চাকুরী তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ে ন্যস্ত হইবেঃ
